Argyle Winery: Pinot Noir 2010

Argyle Winery: Pinot Noir 2010

Argyle Winery is situated in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, an area well know for it's Pinot Noir production. This Pinot is barreled in French oak for 8 to 9 months. This along with a "double-maceration" technique gives this offering rich and smooth flavors.

The delicious nose brought raspberry, eucalyptus, rose and cedar wood chips. The rose element was quite pleasing giving the nose a true "bouquet". The palate was tastefully light with raspberry, strawberry and tart dandelion. The finish had soft strawberry with tart tannin presence to the very end. Overall, this is a well crafted wine: medium to light-bodied, semi-dry, good structure and a very smooth mouth feel. Give this one a try! Cheers!
