Hewitt Vineyard: Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Hewitt Vineyard: Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Grown in the legendary soils of Rutherford Bench, this Cabernet Sauvignon displays all the great characteristics know to this area. It is a rich wine with much to offer.

The nose was delightful with subtle eucalyptus, cherry, orange rind and moss. The palate flowed with great structure that presented upfront undertones of cedar, with cherry, rich blackberry, orange rind, vanilla, moist earth and cocoa. Among all the wines I've tasted cocoa in, this offering definitely had the most pronounced note of coca. The finish was cherry and vanilla. This wine is complex for a single varietal and brought a great palate with good structure. Cheers!
