Daglia Canyon Winery creates a solid Cabernet Sauvignon that holds some of the familiar, and well awarded nuances of Rutherford region wines.
The nose brought an earthy bouquet of cherry, smokey cedar, wet grass and subtle eucalyptus. The palate was full with tart-sweet bing cherry, blackberry, slight plum, gooseberry and cedar. Delicious. The mouth feel is smooth with a structure that is good. Each element of the palate is distinct and flowed well because of this. With strong tannin and acid to balance the fruitiness, this selection has a great smokey undertone of cedar that holds the entire experience together well. Cheers!
