I'm not exactly sure who this Obsessed Vintner is, but their immersion of wine making doesn't go unnoticed. This $20 bottle of wine is as good as many $50 or $70 bottles I've had in the past two years. It is smooth with lots of delicious palate elements to discover.
The pour revealed a deep ruby red wine, a sign of things to come. The nose was vibrant with cherry, blackberry, eucalyptus and cedar. The palate was smokey cherry influenced by cedar, blackberry, and gooseberry. The finish was long and smooth with cherry, mineral chalk and a super delicious chocolate toffee note. Overall this Cabernet Sauvignon is super rich and luxurious, with medium acid and silky smooth tannin which compliment the palate. And the palate structure was great, each flavor element coming at separate times with the fantastic under tone of cedar throughout. This wine is a find for twenty dollars. Enjoy it by itself or with a grilled filet mignon and you will be satisfied. Cheers!
