Grown organically in the Mendocino County region of California, this wine displays good characteristics common to the Mendocino Appellation. It brings fruity and spicy elements to a pleasing, velvety palate.
The nose was cherry, eucalyptus and a slight hint of wet grass. The palate brought jammy strawberry, black cherry and pepper. This palate was definitely full flavored with light creamy tannin and medium acid. These elements were great in combination. A day 2 tasting brought much surprise - the wine was completely consistent. So I had to look at the back of the bottle, since it is an organically grown wine, and found that it does contain sulfides. But this isn't a bad thing necessarily, it kept the wine perfect for a second day. So enjoy this one longer. Cheers!
