Asti Winery: Cellar Nº 8 Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

This is a silky smooth Cabernet that has a classic palate with the surprise of delicious spice elements.

The nose was rich with cherry, jasmine and molasses. The palate brought Bing cherry, blackberry, vanilla, hints of pepper and delicious nutmeg and clove spice. These final elements were a great addition to the palate, making it quite unique for a Cabernet Sauvignon. The finish was long with cherry and green pepper. This wine is very smooth and well balanced with good acid and tannin matching the fruit and spice palate. Cheers!
