The Hogue Cellars: Genesis, Meritage 2007

The Hogue Cellars: Genesis, Meritage 2007

The Hogue Cellars has been crafting quality wines in the Columbia Valley for over 25 years. Their experience brings forth this bold and well structured Meritage. The blend is 49% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Franc.

The nose was quite bold with cherry, eucalyptus and lemon aromas. The palate was deliciously strong as well, showing cherry, strawberry, spicy lemon and oak. The finish was oak and cocoa. This Meritage had a solid mouth feel, strong tannin, high alcohol and good structure. Cheers!
