Markham Vineyards: Merlot 2006

Markham Vineyards: Merlot 2006

Markham has a long tradition of Merlot making that truly shows with this 2006 selection. Vibrant and full of layered flavors, this wine is one to try.

The nose was large with cherry, raspberry and molasses. The palate was plum, cherry, tarragon, blueberry and raspberry. All the while, a lovely maple syrup undertone is present. This wine has good tannin and acid to balance all the layers of delicious flavors. As the bottle opened, the palate moves to plum, strawberry, oak and molasses, with an incredibly smooth mouth feel. Cheers!

Marinated Pork Tenderloin
Marinated Pork Tenderloin
Like Filet mignon, this is a tender item. With marination and slow cooking, you'll find yourself cutting into the tenderloin and thinking it was butter. Delicious. And on top of that, you'll see it is one of the the leanest meats around. Enjoy!
