Independence Wine Services: Dos Brotos, Chardonnay 2009

Independence Wine Services: Dos Brotos, Chardonnay 2009

Independence Wine takes pride in the care they take with regard to their vine maintenance and workers. They hand-prune all vines with spur technique, leaving two buds per spur - thus -"Dos Brotos".

The nose was mildly spicy with lemon, pineapple and pear notes. The palate was pear, guava, pineapple, butter and oak. This combination was interesting, as in most cases, the palate will be either citrus or butter with oak. This offering starts with mild to medium strength citrus flavors, then fades into a sweet butter and oak finish. It was a pleasant change from most other Chardonnays. As well, the overall wine presented good acids with a light, crisp feel. Cheers!
