Quixote Winery: Petite Sirah 2005

Quixote Winery: Petite Sirah 2005

This Quixote offering is a full feel wine that packs a punch from beginning to end.

The nose was raspberry, blueberry, cherry and pepper. The palate was jammy cherry, raspberry, cognac, chocolate ad molasses! The first impression is HOT - high alcohol content, but this wine delivered good structure and a fairly smooth feel. After the initial heat has passed, strong tannin for a mouth puckering experience follows. This is a big wine. The delicious finish came with cherry and chocolate. As the bottle opened, the nose mellows to a lovely cherry and musty earth. The palate moved to jammy plum, jammy cherry, raspberry, cognac, chocolate and molasses. Don't miss this Petite Syrah if you love a bold wine. Cheers!
