This Bordeaux is a good example of the style of wine to expect from the Médoc appellation of France. It is a very laid back wine that still delivers deep flavors with a price that is well affordable.
The nose was musty cedar, wet grass, cherry and eucalyptus. I did enjoy this nose. It reminds of what I would picture the area of this wine being like: country feel with dewy mornings where the air is filled with moist soil and field scents. The palate was cherry, musty earth, egg, like a chicken coop and currant. The palate was like a deep dark cellar, with mellow tannin and acid. The finish was cherry, and mineral. The overall experience is mellow and satisfying with well balanced characteristics. Cheers!
