Francis Coppola Presents: Director's Merlot 2007

Francis Coppola Presents: Director's Merlot 2007

Rich, ripe and expressive: these elements are very important to the character of Francis Ford Coppola wines. This Merlot contains all these and more.

The nose was full and rewarding with musty cedar, moss and cherry. These great aromas are definitely achieved through a winemaker with skill in barreling. The palate was honey, plum, blueberries and spice-tangerine. The finish was blueberry and Cognac. This unique finish of Cognac along sets this wine apart from many other Merlots. This Merlot feels very full-bodied, with smooth, relaxed tannins and strong acids that balance each other for a silky, medium mouth feel. This Merlot might change minds, and is definitely worth trying all by itself. Cheers!

Marinated Pork Tenderloin
Marinated Pork Tenderloin
Like Filet mignon, this is a tender item. With marination and slow cooking, you'll find yourself cutting into the tenderloin and thinking it was butter. Delicious. And on top of that, you'll see it is one of the the leanest meats around. Enjoy!
