Owl Ridge Wines: Sebastopol Hills, Pinot Noir 2008

Owl Ridge Wines: Sebastopol Hills, Pinot Noir 2008

This Sonoma County offering is a full-bodied wine that brings many fine elements to the palate.

The nose was full of pungent ripe fruits: black cherry, anise, musty grass and vanilla. The palate was delightful and simple with black cherry, black pepper, orange rind and vanilla. The finish was of cherry, pepper and prune. This finish was delicious with the sweet thick prune note finishing out the sips. This Pinot offers strong acids, balancing the ripe fruit flavors, that are accompanied by surprisingly mellow tannins. The combination is quite good, and worth the cost. Cheers!

Marinated Pork Tenderloin
Marinated Pork Tenderloin
Like Filet mignon, this is a tender item. With marination and slow cooking, you'll find yourself cutting into the tenderloin and thinking it was butter. Delicious. And on top of that, you'll see it is one of the the leanest meats around. Enjoy!
