Northwest Vintners: Hedgeline Vineyards™, Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Northwest Vintners: Hedgeline Vineyards™, Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

A tribute to a diverse landscape of lush, mountainous highlands and arid, desert lowlands, the vines of the Pacific Northwest are unique in character and nature, and deliver this lush fruit wine.

The nose was ripe with berries, cherry, plum and grapefruit: very aromatic. The palate was blackberry, cherry, musty oak and currant. This is an interesting offering, definitely off the beaten track for Cabernets. The mouth feel was very light, much like a Bordeaux. The overall experience is dry with mild to medium tannins doing well to compliment the lush fruit notes. Cheers!
