New Belgium Brewing Company: Fat Tire Amber Ale

Belgian beers use a far broader palette of ingredients (fruits, spices, esoteric yeast strains) than German or English styles. Jeff, the brewmaster of Fat Tire, found this Belgian approach freeing.

The scent was rich with caramelized malt and vanilla. The palate was caramel, toasted malt in balance with a slight hoppy flavor off the back. The overall impression brought a nice thick mouth feel, and great drinkability. Serve this beverage at a temperature of 50˚F. Cheers!
