Mount Veeder Winery: Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Mount Veeder Winery: Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

These Mount Veeder vines reside in steep sloped hills where the grapes grown strong, producing intense and concentrated juices.

The nose was deliciously rich with cherry, blackberry and cedar. The palate was of blackberry and a cedar oily flavor. The finish is rich with cocoa, vanilla, cedar and smokey tobacco. As the bottle opened, the nose moved to blackberry, cherry, mocha and musty, earthy cedar. The palate opened to blackberry, oily-cedar, musty earth, tangerine-spice and oak. Overall, this is a bold wine, with a very distinct set of flavors that please the palate. This is one to try. Cheers!
