Laurel Glen Vineyard: Fuerza Malbec 2009

Laurel Glen Vineyard: Fuerza Malbec 2009

These low yield, hearty grapes from the foot of Andes grow in rocky soil, making the vine work hard to produce a strong grape with a bold palate.

The nose was of rich cherry and citrus spice. The palate was dominated by raspberry, followed by peach and smoked wood. The finish was anise and raspberry, with a long, soft characteristic. As the bottle opened, the nose moved to smokey wood and raspberry. The palate was raspberry, peach, musty smoked wood and earthy dew.
