Sterling Vineyards: Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Sterling Vineyards: Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon with an outstanding cedar influence that can be enjoyed with the strongest flavored foods.

The nose was bursting with blueberry, oily oak and vanilla. The palate was blueberry, raspberry, musty cedar - just like a good cigar box and vanilla. This is a bold wine with excellent tannins to match the flavors. The finish is thick and lingering with cedar oil. This finish is very different for Cabs, and allows it to stand alone as a unique Cabernet Sauvignon. As the bottle opens the palate remained the same with the addition of plum aromas. The palate mellows slightly showing great structure with the same elements of flavor. My recommendation is to save a few sips of this after dinner, and enjoy a good cigar with it. Cheers!
