Château Méric: Bordeaux Blend 2007

Château Méric: Bordeaux Blend 2007

The soil of Château Méric is still highly sought after for the quality of the wines produced from there which are usually characterized as having finesse, silky tannins and delicious aromas. This 2007 offering follows these trends of quality.

The nose was cherry, oak and wet earth. The palate was delicious, with a tangy spice upfront, followed by blueberry, black cherry, vanilla, and oak. The tannins were silky and smooth. The finish was lingering and rewarding with vanilla and oak finishing the experience. As the bottle opened, it becomes very well structured, rounded, and it became even smoother. The palate after opened displayed all the same characteristics, but with the addition of a fantastic smoky earth note. Definitely decant this selection for 15 minutes before trying. Cheers!
