Edna Valley Vineyard: Pinot Noir 2007

Edna Valley Vineyard: Pinot Noir 2007

Fragrant and floral describe this 2007 Pinot Noir. The fine tannins accompanied with stout fruit flavors would be paired well with gamey flavors such as duck, venison or wild mushroom pasta.

The nose was filled with vanilla, cherry and oak. The palate was of raspberry, cherry, musty oak and plum. The finish was soft and oaky with the smooth yet lingering tannins balancing the intense flavors. A day 2 try of this offering yielded all the same qualities, with not compromise in character. It's a stout, simple group of flavors that are very pleasing. This overall consistency shows how well made this wine is. Cheers!
