Trader Joe's: Grower's Reserve Petite Sirah 2008

Trader Joe's: Grower's Reserve Petite Sirah 2008

This offering from Trader Joe's is a good value. It presents good flavors and strength, not normally found in a Petite Sirah at this price range.

The nose was blueberry, mocha and blackberry. The palate was of light pepper, blueberry, vanilla and oak. The flow of the wine was unexpectedly like a Bordeaux with a nice, light character. Te finish was light and soft with hints of vanilla, cherry and pepper. As the bottle opened up, the palate moves to a fuller, bigger flavor with blueberry, cherry and vanilla dominating. Cheers!
