This Rhone de Robles is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsaut and Counoise grapes. These fruits produce a quality wine with flavorful character, typical of wines from the Paso Robles area.
The nose was brimming with cherry and black pepper. The palate was cherry, vanilla, pepper, slight burnt oak, blueberry, cotton candy and lastly apricot. The finish was of blueberry and vanilla. The overall impression was that this wine has lots of flavor, but is a bit feeble in the tannin and acid area making it bit out of balance. That being said, this offering was a good blend.
