Chateau St. Jean: Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

Chateau St. Jean: Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

This Cabernet Sauvignon, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, is an earthy and fruity wine that finds a good balance between the two.

The nose revealed blackberry, vanilla and musty-earth scents. The palate was of blackberry with finishing notes of black currant, fennel and oak. These smooth fruit flavors are accompanied by soft acids and mellow, round tannins that all work well together. Cheers!

Filet mignon, great flavor and texture with little hoopla, just grill and enjoy. It's always the simple things that can make a difference, here the grill technique is everything.

How could you possibly go wrong with portobello mushrooms, pesto, and mozarella cheese?  Very rich and flavorful.
