DnA Vineyards: Rootstock, Sauvignon Blanc 2007

DnA Vineyards: Rootstock, Sauvignon Blanc 2007

The name DnA Vineyards signifies the work this vineyard puts into helping the world’s wine community identify the genetic structure of grapevines, and of course, they make a little bit of wine too! They hand select individual vines for their quality throughout the Mendocino county area of California to produce their crops.

The nose was citrus, leaning towards lemon, semi-grassy dew and a hint of apple. The palate was lemon, grapefruit, green apple and a slight spice note of cardamom. This is a solid medium bodied wine with good acid. The finish was smooth and lasting, with lemon, melon and spice flavors. Cheers!
