Chateau Ste. Michelle: Gewurztraminer 2008

Washington State has perfect weather for producing these moderate to cold climate grapes. So is produced vintages that are both spicy and refreshing.

The nose was a surprising and delicious combination of grapefruit and macadamia nuts. upon first opening, the palate was upfront spicy, followed by pink grapefruit, citrus and a nutmeg-cardamom flavor that was quite nice. The medium dry finish was of dried peaches - tangy, and a subtle key lime note. Cheers!
