Bonterra Vineyards: Cabernet Sauvignon, Mendocino County 2007

Bonterra Vineyards is proud of their association with the California Certified Organic Growers. This pure organic fruit they produce in combination with French and American Oak barreling results in a wine of exceptional quality.

The nose is as sweet as a pie, of cherry and blackcurrant. This medium-full bodied wine has a palate of blackberry and plum. The blackberry element is a nice bitter finish as it hits the back of the tongue, contrasting the sweet plum notes up front. The finish is a combination of cherry and a mineral note with good strong tannins. As the bottle opens, the nose moves to blackcurrant, musty-earth and again plum. The palate becomes very well rounded of blackberry and plum. Cheers!
