Panilonco: Reserve Merlot/Malbec 2008

Panilonco: Reserve Merlot/Malbec 2008

The nose was of subtle blackberry, light oak and earth like dewey grass in the morning. The palate was very smooth and soft, with blackberry and a tangy element of citrus. The medium length finish is tangy with hints of blackberry followed by tangerine - very good.

As the bottle opens up, the glass gives the distinct aromas of blackberry and blueberry. The palate still had the blackberry notes, and the tangy citrus hints of the initial tasting now were defined as lime - very interesting. And the finish seems to shorten a bit, but it is still delicious with blackberry, blueberry and tangerine must notes. Cheers!
