Night Harvest: Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Night Harvest: Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

This is a good little table wine, to be enjoyed any night with a variety of foods including Mexican foods, beef, pork, lamb and duck.

The nose was very interesting to me. Typical of cabs, cherry and black current are present, but to my surprise, I was able to detect eucalyptus. The palate was mild but with a spicy hit up front. This mild yet fruity combination is why it can be enjoyed with may foods. The main flavor components were black current and cherry. The finish, mild and medium in length tapered off to black current with a hint of blueberry.
