Ingredients:
1/2 lb. Proscuitto ham, thinly sliced
1 Cantaloupe or Honeydew melon
|
Directions:
Start by chilling a serving dish in the refrigerator. Cut the melon in half, through the hemisphere, or through the "waist", not through the top and bottom with stem. Core out the seeds, and begin carving out balls of melon using a melon-baller or rounded spoon. Set aside. Now slice the ham into strips approximately as wide as the melon balls. From here you can simply roll the Proscuitto ham and arrange them side-by-side with the melon balls, or you can wrap the melon balls with the ham and secure with a pic through the middle. This holds it all together and makes it easier for guests at a party to pick them up cocktail style.
