This 2009 Guenoc Cabernet Sauvignon compared to the 2006 showed a similar rich cherry palate. The 2009 offering, however, added a new element to the palate that was quite enjoyable and balancing to the fruitiness: dandelion.
As their label says, "Justice for All", so goes this offering from Liberated Wine Company. It is a very rich and well rounded wine that could be priced in the $20 - $30 range, especially coming from Napa, but is priced at $10, a price the less than wealthy can afford as well.

Grapes for this selection were chosen from several Monterey County vineyards. Courtney Benham then blends these different grapes, cultivating their best qualities to create this handcrafted Petite Sirah.
This wine has a dark purple Bordeaux color reminiscent of the deep recesses in garnet. A dense plum and blackberry nose with lingering hints of blueberry and fresh oak. Nutty flavors with fruit, light tannins, subtle smoke, and oak coat the mouth. It gently says goodbye with a long, smooth, velvety finish. A wine that will last decades!
