This offering from Kenwood Vineyards contains grapes from five different appellations of the Sonoma County area. They use sauvignon grapes from these different areas to create a wine with a unique palate, showcasing the different characteristic of these selected grapes.
This wine is 100% estate produced. With the concentrated effort, the Kunde Family is able to control and enhance their wines quality and flavor. This 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon does reflect this quality with a good depth of palate.
Laetitia Winery's Estate selections are guaranteed to have the highest level of quality. This is because they growing their own fruit for these wines, enabling them to control the quality through out the wine making process. This 2008 Chardonnay reflects this high standard.
This fruit forward Cabernet Sauvignon can be described as ripe, with lots of red cherry and cassis flavors to titillate your taste buds. It is an overall good wine to pair with grilled meats and spicy tomato sauces because of this strength.
This 2009 Guenoc Cabernet Sauvignon compared to the 2006 showed a similar rich cherry palate. The 2009 offering, however, added a new element to the palate that was quite enjoyable and balancing to the fruitiness: dandelion.
As their label says, "Justice for All", so goes this offering from Liberated Wine Company. It is a very rich and well rounded wine that could be priced in the $20 - $30 range, especially coming from Napa, but is priced at $10, a price the less than wealthy can afford as well.
Ripe and balanced with a great array of cherry, red currants, cola, toasty mocha and vanilla oak spice flavors wrapped around smooth tannins and a nice long lingering finish. This wine is ready to drink now but will easily cellar 3-5+ years.
