Argyle Winery is situated in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, an area well know for it's Pinot Noir production. This Pinot is barreled in French oak for 8 to 9 months. This along with a "double-maceration" technique gives this offering rich and smooth flavors.

This offering is intentionally off the beaten path. It is a very young, and playful Cabernet Sauvignon that exhibits both semi-dry and sweet notes. The name "Juenesse" is French for youthful, flavorful and fun.

Like most Syrahs, this offering from Herzog Wine Cellars is big, but it has a surprisingly smooth mid and finish which gives it an advantage over other, more harsh Syrahs.

This wine's name, Alluvium, comes from the alluvial soils found in Knights Valley. Alluvial soil is formed with the help of rivers or streams carrying various sediment. The soil will be fine grained and consist of silt, clay and sand. This variety of soil helps contribute to quality grapes.

This offering by Black Mountain Vineyard is appropriately named "Fat Cat", for it is a big, fat flavored wine with a high alcohol content.
