The world’s largest craft beer company is joining forces with the world’s oldest brewery to develop a truly new type of beer.
Sam Adams, the Boston brewery known for its seasonal ales and experimental flavors, partnered with Germany’s 1,000 year old Weihenstephan Brewery in hopes of creating something “sort of in between a champagne, a dessert wine, and maybe a Sam Adams Noble Pils,” according to Sam Adams founder Jim Koch.
And after two years of development, the result is this: Sam Adams Infinium Beer. The seasonal ale is finally set to be released this December in 750ml bottles (the same size and look of champagne) for around $19.99. There is no better beer to pop open on New Years Eve!
