The Connecticut Wine Trail: Destination Haight-Brown Vineyard

In 1975, the gorgeous state of Connecticut welcomed its first vineyard and winery. Now, more than three decades later, Haight-Brown Vineyard is still attracting guests from across the state looking to breathe in the natural beauty of the estate winery.

Tasting and Event Rooms
Winter guests to Haight-Brown Vineyard are immediately drawn to the warmth and personality of the main tasting room. Hardwood floors, back-to-back stone fireplaces, and a custom wine bar help set the tone of the wine bar, while the personable and knowledgeable staff brings the relaxing atmosphere of Connecticut’s oldest winery to life. Indulge in Haight-Brown’s estate wines, imported cheeses, and delightful terrace views of the vineyard below.

The Vine Room, a popular option for private rentals, has become a favorite among visitors. The wooden wine bar and furniture set a tranquil tone in this room, and the local art and photography lining the walls makes the experience here even more unique and enjoyable. Private parties are typically limited to 25 guests or less in this space.

A new edition to the winery, the Cask Room, has also been completed and is now open for rental! Lounge in the casual leather ottomans and take in your own view of Haight-Brown’s wine cellar though double glass doors. The Cask Room holds up to 30 guests.

Wines & Vineyard
With a new winemaker joining the Haight-Brown team in the last year, the winery is looking forward to releasing the wines from last year’s incredible harvest. Join in on the excitement by visiting Haight-Brown Vineyard for their Annual Barrel Tasting in April!

Haight-Brown Vineyard grows seven varietals of grape over its 16 acres, including its revered Chardonnay and Riesling. The Covertside White – a blend of estate-grown Seyval Blanc and Chardonnay – is particularly popular at the winery. Red wine lovers will enjoy the Beaujolais-style Nouveau Red and California-Cabernet based BIG RED wines.
